Last night I received a call from a person who is part of our mission. His voice seemed different. I said to him: Your voice seems different. He replied: I have developed infection in the throat. I'm taking antibiotics. I understood the cause. There are some food items which are very delicious. I don’t eat food for taste. The person who had called me developed a throat problem because of tasty food. I told him that the medicine you need is not with the doctor. The medicine you need is with you. That is, you should change yourself. You should take a deicision today itself that you won't eat tasty food from now on. I told him that I have a real brother who lives in Aligarh. He gifted me pure ghee and dessert. It smelled delicious. I didn’t even taste it. I neither tasted the ghee nor the dessert.

The Quran says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَى مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ (9:111). God has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth in return for the Garden. You are a person who has been bought by God. God has bought you. You don't belong to yourself. You belong to God. You don’t have any choice in the food you eat. You will have to eat simple food so that your throat doesn’t develop problems, your health doesn’t decline -- so that you can do God's work. A believer has been bought by God. A believer has to do only that which God wants. He has no choice in the matter. We all, all of us, have to adopt the choice of God. We have to do what God wants us to do. We have to devote ourselves to God's religion. We have to work for God's mission. This is our task. May God accept us all and give us strength.
